Point Cascade Pale Ale
Written by John
Caught in the heartland of Wisconsin I wanted to get a “local” beer. So Stevens Point was my choice. I like to get a feel for what the locals like to drink so when near Steven’s Point I picked up a 6 pack of, whatelse, Stevens Point. It was a nice pale ale. It poured with a rusty colored head that sparkled and was clear. Disappeared quickly. It had a faint aroma of English and cascade malts. Good balance even though it was simple. Caramel shows up along with the malt. Throw in some bread and a few citrusy notes and you’ve got Point Cascade Pale Ale. It is smooth and inviting. A great sessionable beer that has a medium mouthfeel and a dry finish. Not a bad beer for a good price. Love the locals.
